Google Launches Custom Search Service

Google this week launched a new service that allows users to create customized search engines for their own blogs or Web sites. The new tool allows users to use the Google search platform to create a search engine focused on specific types of content. Google will monetize the new service via its AdSense advertising program.

Microsoft Releases IE 7. Finally.

It's been more than five years since Microsoft has released an upgrade for their ubiquitous internet browser, Internet Explorer. That release was neither cheered nor welcomed by the masses clamoring for a bigger, better Internet Explorer. The system was full of security holes and the new features were little more than rehashes of the old features. The only reason to upgrade was that it was free.

Now, on Oct 18th, Microsoft has finally fulfilled part of that half-broken promise and released a real IE upgrade.
