Vonage Gets Stuffed

A judge today effectively blocked Vonage from signing up new customers as punishment for using Verizon technology. In what Vonage's lawyer characterized as a slow death rather than a "bullet to the head", Vonage is no longer allowed to sign new customers, their only way to stem their waning customer base.

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - A judge issued an injunction Friday that effectively bars Internet phone carrier Vonage from signing up new customers as punishment for infringing on patents held by Verizon. Vonage planned an immediate appeal.
